Felix The Cat Wiki

In- and Out-Laws is a 1928 Felix the Cat short produced by Pat Sullivan.

Plot[]

Felix is hungry again. Consequently, when he sees some eggs, Felix doesn't hesitate to steal them from the nest and cook them over a farmer's pipe. Boiled eggs usually lead to trouble and this one produces a stubborn chicken that starts whipping Felix. Then a policeman tells them that if they want to organize some cockfighting, they will have to go to Mexico.

In a strange land, Felix decides that such a talent for fighting should not be wasted. He becomes the manager of the champion fighting cock of Mexico and challenges him to a fight. A period of training follows in which Felix uses whatever materials he has at hand to provide suitable gym facilities for his pet fighter.

In the big battle, Felix's pupil wins after a terrific fight, leaving his opponent all ready to roast. Felix walks away with his share of the large bets won in the fight. But a daring bandit mugs the black cat and relieves him of all his winnings. Felix lassoes the bandit, spinning him around so that the money returns to its rightful owner. The bandit, still spinning, is arrested for starting a revolution.
