Felix The Cat Wiki

Felix Seeks Solitude is a 1926 Felix the Cat short produced by Pat Sullivan.

Plot[]

Felix is hungry. He begins a systematic search for food and soon finds a fish about to be devoured by a hungry man. Felix hooks it on the end of a fishing line and begins to eat it alone. The moon watches him suspiciously until the cat smudges it with a bottle of ink. Then a tree points an accusing hand at the thieving cat.

Felix thinks he is finally alone, but his shadow begins to follow him. Nailing his ever-present shadow to a fence, the cat believes he is alone until he sees his reflection in the water. He tries to get rid of his image by diving into the water, only to be chased by the father of the fish he is trying to eat.

A fierce battle with a bird finally decides Felix to return the stolen fish, and he is rewarded by the hungry man with a bottle of milk.
