Felix's Owners
Appearance[]
When Felix the Cat rescued a little boy from a vicious dog, he offered to let the feline stay at his house, where he can eat as much as he wants - unbeknownst to the boy, his father turned out to be utterly disgusted by the prospect of a cat in the house and kicked Felix out, before throwing a glass bottle at him - Felix, rather than running away, stayed around and peeked through the window, being horrified to witness the little boy being paddled by his father - Felix first attempted to negotiate with the father, albeit in a slapstick manner, by whacking some mosquitos off of his head, though this simply increased the scorn rather than creating gratitude, resulting in the cat being thrown out of the house - Felix returned to comfort the boy through the telephone wires, leading the father to chase down Felix with a shotgun - at this point, Felix decided it was time for payback, and thustly planted some finely-aged cheese in the house, causing a rat infestation - teaching the father a hard lesson about how much cats can be needed, though Felix chooses to stay a stray as the rats claim permanent residence.
Notes[]
- Some later Felix cartoons featured different owner characters, though as his more cat-like traits would slowly be phased out he would eventually be depicted as living on his own as a human would.
