Daihatsu is a Japanese automobile manufacturer headquartered in Ikeda, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. Established in March 1, 1907 as Hatsudoki Seizo Co., Ltd., renamed as Daihatsu Motor Company in March 1, 1951. Serving in Japan, Indonesia and Pakistan. It is one of the oldest surviving Japanese internal combustion engine manufacturers. Daihatsu becomes a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation when Toyota acquired 51% Daihatsu's stocks in 1998, then becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Toyota in August 2016.

Felix the Cat appeared in a Japanese Daihatsu Mira commercial in 1991 with a black Mira. Felix was nicknamed "Felix The Mira".
