Astronomeows is a 1928 Felix the Cat cartoon released by Educational Pictures.
Plot[]
The Demo-cats in convention assembled are listening to the keyhole speech of their leader, Felix, who advises an investigation of Mars as a future home for cats in migration. The motion carried, Felix is delegated to investigate. He shoots an arrow, misses Mars and punctures the tire of a bicycle in a six-day race on Saturn. The angry racer pulls the black cat up on the line attached to the arrow. Then he beats up the cat unmercifully and kicks him over Mars.
On inhabitants on Mars think he is a furmy but useless specimen until a stray comet, making things lively for the king of Mars, is balked by Felix with a knockout wallop. The king expresses a wish for a million more like him, and Felix, taking him at his word, sends down a note calling his cohorts up the attached rope.
It's invitation is accepted by the waiting cats. When Felix finally shows the king the result of a literal acceptance of his wish for a million, the king falls away in a dead faint.

- This was the first cartoon short ever to take place in outer space, making Felix the Cat the first cartoon character to travel through outer space.
